@london1817 bug out … @london1817 bug out refers to having to evacuate for some reason. up here we can have bad snow storms and major floods or forest fires all of which would make us have to leave our home in a hurry i.e. bug out. i also teach a lot of courses in disaster safety and first responder courses for various agencies. this means i have to go on a lot of disaster response calls like katrina and having the popup to stay in on deployment makes me and my team extreemly mobile.
great setup man we … great setup man we are working our way towards getting a system to charge our laptops and battery powered stuff. we dont use a lot of electrical stuff other than computers and lights. we are getting a coleman electric 2 burner stove and an electric pot cooker. these things are all we really need for electricity. we want it to be fully portable to be put in the house or popup trailer if we had to bug out.
so have you figured … so have you figured out how much money your saving on your monthly bill from before you installed it? just wondering, i have that same kit, but it came with different charge box. was thinking of getting another, and running two. just wondering how much i could run conservatively on 100 watts. thanks

My system is a hybrid solar/ wind. I only have a small solar panel but I want to build my own big ones. Next step is to vent the batteries in my garage to outside so no gases get in like yours I assume. Anyways, nice videos and keep up the good work. People learn from people and nobody is ever gonna learn if we don’t show em first.

I just ordered a Juta CMP24 charger with LCD, it will switch off all loads as soon as the voltage drops below a certain set voltage. But I’m still searching for a device that will automatically switch from inverter to the grid as soon as I run out of power. (I live in Netherlands Europe so it needs to be a 230V type) Do you have any idea if such a device exists and if so, what it is called?

So they’re now running 13.8V at 4 Amps max. The battery is a lead one and only 62 Ah. I basically use it for lighting: 3 fluorescent tube bulbs of 15W at 12V and a convertor for 220VAC to power my laptop.

Hmmm, don’t know if … Hmmm, don’t know if I followed correctly how you have everything wired but depending on what your whole household power needs are at night, you could make a power cord with two male ends, run it from the converter into a wall socket which would power your main breaker panel and therefore your entire house saving you from having to run the wire to the TV and such. Just make sure you throw the main switch on the panel so your battery power doesn’t go out to the grid.
