Wind Power – to Combat Climate Change
Not a single day goes by without mention of the environmental and climate challenges facing the world. The ice caps are melting right before our eyes and the oceans are rising as we quest for answers and durable solutions to the worlds growing energy needs.
Wind is one of Denmarks most abundant natural energy sources, today accounting for one-fifth of the electricity supplied through Danish outlets. In just under 30 years, Denmark has become world champ when it comes to harnessing the otherwise tough-to-control wind energy in the power system. But how? This is precisely what this film wants to clarify.

energy from wind power?
Energy from wind power is becoming an increasingly significant source of energy, considering that the price of oil is getting dearer. This is especially so for oil-deficient developing nations like India which meet their energy needs by importing oil. Providing facts and figures, analyze the opportunities and challenges that wind energy companies face in setting up wind farms in India. Also, do you think wind energy is viable if the government decides to stop extending subsidies?
WInd power is good for Eg take TamilNadu there is Big power demand complusary 2hr Power cut in all over districts in TN you know why because of the Wind power there is an major drops in windpower between 2007 & 2009.the climate is changing.TN Maximum wind between April to August but its not a condition for past couple of years

Kitegen Stem – High Altitute Wind Energy
The Kitegen Stem is an italian developed power plant that is rated at 3MW. A 27MW kitegen Windpark (9 stem units) is under construction since Dez 09.
1MW installed will be about 4 times cheaper than conventional windturbines with a capacity factor from 50-85% depending on location an operating high (800-10.000m).
The Stem could be operated offshore or on a ship.
Heres much more information on the project (with comments by the Italien inventors).

How to Make an Inexpensive Vertical Wind Turbine – Part 1
Kit for sale now- http://www.berezintechnologies.com
Visit Blog at http://berezin.com/jeff for details on wind and other stuff I do.
Part 2 is now done and covers power generation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24LSnATIZhw
Harness the wind for less than $100.
DIY vertical wind turbine of the Savonius style.
Notable is that this cost less than $100 in materials so far and that the largest part of this turbine is recycled materials (the PVC drums previously held Balsamic Vinegar from Italy).
Also, this turns well in a very light wind.
Axle: 3 inch PVC piping from Home Depot
Bearings: 5 inch lazy suzan from Lowes.
Part 2 will cover power generation and connection to the battery bank.
